Basseterre, St. Kitts - The Rotary Club of Liamuiga continued its community work on Monday with a timely donation to Ade’s Place. The Club presented a brand new stove and a cordless electric kettle to the center.

President of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga, Dr. Marcus Natta said after several consultations, they realized the center was in need of a stove.

He said, “We at the Rotary Club of Liamuiga are always looking within the community to see where we can be of service and in this case, we reached out to Ade’s Place. There was a need for a new stove for them to facilitate their cooking activities for the tenants or the clients that they have here at the center and we were very happy to oblige and donate this stove to them.”

Director of Ade’s Place, Rosemary Monroe thanked the Club for its generous donation and explained how the residents of Ade’s Place will benefit from the gifts.

“On behalf of the board and parents of the residents, clients who come to Ade’s Place, I would like to thank Rotary Club of Liamuiga for this gift of the stove and the kettle. We try to help the trainees to be able to look after themselves and cooking is one of the basic things that we do and so we are very grateful for this gift,” Monroe explained.

Ade’s Place is a non-governmental organisation which helps to improve the living conditions of young adults with disabilities.
